Behaviour, Movement Ecology, and Eco-physiology

Life is stressful

My interests have focused on how an individual survives and copes with stress and what drives that survival based on various aspects of physiology, behaviour and ecology with specific focus on high(er) latitude species. New developments in technology and tagging methods present an exciting way to evaluate many research questions that were previously unattainable.

Stressors are increasing

Climate change and increasing human activities continue to put pressure on animals. Understanding how animals cope with stressors remains key to understanding future changes in the natural environment.
